Consent, memory, and what we will never do.
Your SoulKey belongs to you. You can view, edit, export, import, or permanently delete it at any time. Deletion is real deletion.
We store only what you choose. Nothing enters your SoulKey without your explicit approval. HermesCore may propose additions during a conversation; you approve or dismiss each one.
Never sold. Never trained on by us. Your SoulKey content is never sold and never used to train models by us. When you consent to a HermesCore conversation, the sections you've included are sent to our AI provider to generate that reply, then discarded on our side. See Where your words go below.
Ask First is the default. Memory begins at Ask First. Trust is yours to extend, not ours to assume.
Where your words go
Your SoulKey lives in your browser. HermesCore is the only thing that talks to AI models — it holds those connections on our server, so no API key ever lives in your browser. When you turn consent on, HermesCore assembles a context envelope: only the sections you marked included, the recent turns of that conversation, and your message. Nothing else is sent.
You choose the lens — the model family HermesCore reflects through. Whichever lens you pick, that provider processes the request under its own policy, which we do not control, and returns a reply to your browser. We do not log, store, or train on the envelope or the conversation. Switching lenses does not change what is sent; the envelope is built the same way for every provider.
"Never stored" refers to our own systems. It does not bind any third party. Do not share anything you would not want briefly processed by an AI provider.
Three kinds of knowing
Not everything in your SoulKey carries the same weight, so we label it. What you said yourself is stated. What HermesCore noticed across a conversation is an observed pattern. What it guesses is a hypothesis — and a hypothesis is always shown as a question, never as a fact about you. Only when you approve it does anything become confirmed and enter your SoulKey. Dismiss it and HermesCore remembers the refusal so it does not ask again.
Not therapy. Not medical care.
SoulKeys and HermesCore are tools for reflection and organization. They are not therapy, medical care, or mental health treatment, and they cannot diagnose or treat any condition. If you are in crisis or struggling, please reach out to a licensed professional or someone you trust. Your SoulKey can wait, and it will keep.
On the Healing & Growth chapter
This chapter is optional and more personal than the others. It is excluded from AI context by default. The first time a conversation would include it, we ask you again — Send once, Send for this session, or Cancel. You can remove it, or turn it off entirely, at any time. Share only what feels right to share.
